Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a new game or two, at least in this house! Especially considering the current situation with the Coronavirus pandemic, it’s more than likely we will all be spending more time at home this holiday season than we usually do. It might not be the ideal situation, but we can make the best of it! I’ve put together a list of some of my favourite games to help you enjoy a slightly more introverted festive period.
This game is so much fun – it requires you to use your brain, your acting skills, and you pop culture knowledge. It’s a game that the whole family can get involved with, and is super lighthearted.
Pass The Bomb
Time to engage your brain power and whip out the dictionary. Pass The Bomb is a fast paced game where you have to come up with words including the letters on the card you are playing. If you want to see it in action, I actually have a YouTube video of my mother and I playing it… check it out here!
The Logo Game
All you need to play this game is a bizarre amount of knowledge relating to adverts. It’s a lot more fun than it sounds, and you’ll definitely surprise yourself with how much you know.
I played this for the first time a couple of years ago, which is strange seeing as it’s such a classic board game. You can get multiple themed versions of Cluedo too, such as Harry Potter and Game Of Thrones.
Cards Against Humanity
Word of advice in case you don’t already know: this is not a game you want to be playing with your family. However this is the funniest game I have ever played and so I couldn’t leave it off the list! If you’re spending Christmas with friends, this is the game for you.
I hope this has given you some ideas of board games you can play over the Christmas period, and do let me know if you decide to get any of these! I’d love to hear which your favourite is!
