My Top 3 Christmas Recipes

It’s no secret that I love Christmas, but do you know what I love more? Christmas food. I’m not talking turkey and stuffing, I’m talking about homemade gingerbread and all the chocolate you can physically handle. I like to say that I need all the sugar to keep up my festive energies like the elves, but honestly it just tastes so good.

I want to share a few recipes that I come back to again and again around Christmas time… If you try them out then be sure to let me know!

Peppermint Mocha Cookies by Sally’s Baking Addiction

I cannot tell you how insanely good these are. It’s a lot of flavours for a biscuit and not everyone is a fan, but these are my number one holiday biscuits. If you like mint chocolate and coffee, I’m pretty confident that you’ll love these as much as I do.

Taylor Swift’s Chai Cookies

It’s like Christmas in September. Except we’re in December. The original recipe for the cookie is from Joy The Baker, but then you add a gorgeous eggnog icing that takes them to the next level of festivity. This adorable recipe art is by Muna The Cat on Tumblr.

Gingerbread Cookie Cottage by BBC Good Food

My mum cut this recipe out of a magazine in 2005, and we still bring out those pages every year. If you don’t want to make an actual gingerbread cottage, this recipe is still the absolute best that I’ve ever come across for gingerbread biscuits. Here are a few that we’ve made over the last five years…

If you have any favourite festive recipes, then let me know so I can try them out! For more festivity, be sure to follow me over on Instagram to keep up with my daily Christmas antics.
