Christmas Gift Guide: Harry Potter Fan

I think it’s every Harry Potter fans dream to spend Christmas at Hogwarts, but unfortunately that’s not an option considering it doesn’t exist (as far as the muggles know). If you’ve got a friend or family member that loves the Wizarding World, however, a great idea is to get them Harry Potter themed Christmas presents!

Wizard Sweets

Anything from the trolley, dears? A great idea for a smaller budget is to get some sweets from the Wizarding World. How about some Peppermint Toads, a packet of Fudge Flies, or Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans?

Mini Potions Mugs

I absolutely love the idea of these! Geek Gear Box have mugs for Amortentia, Felix Felicis, Polyjuice Potion, and my personal favourite which is Veritaserum.

Time Turner

If the recipients favourite book or film is the Prisoner Of Azkaban, then a time turner might just be the perfect gift for them. You can get these from the official merchandise websites, however I encourage you to support small businesses – for example this Time Turner by FashionByJessica on Etsy has great reviews, and if you don’t want your money going to JK Rowling this is a much better option.

House Merchandise

Is your friend a Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, or a Ravenclaw like me? Getting them house specific merch is a great way to show them how well you know them. There is plenty of choice when it comes to house merch too, for example you could get them a house tie, a house scarf, or their house Quidditch jumper if you’re looking to spend a bit more!

Character Merchandise

Does your friend have a favourite character in the series? If so, a great gift would be their favourite characters wand! Other cool ideas would be a pair of Spectrespecs for a Luna Lovegood lover, or Crookshanks if they’re a fan of Hermione. If your recipient has been corrupted by TikTok and is convinced they’re in love with George Weasley, why not get them his Weasley jumper! Yes, that last sentence was based on myself.

House Stacking Mugs

I’m absolutely obsessed with this set of stacking mugs from Argos. They’re super aesthetic and very subtle. If your recipient is more of an understated fan, this might just be exactly what you’re looking for.

Harry Potter Games

It’s not Christmas in my family if we don’t get a new board game, and what better than one with a Harry Potter theme? There is plenty to choose from too! You could go for Harry Potter themed Dobble, Harry Potter Trivial Pursuit, or even a Harry Potter Cluedo.

I hope this has given you some more ideas for what to buy your Harry Potter obsessed friends, and that they appreciate the amount of thought that you’ve put into such a wonderful gift! Let me know if you’ll be adding any of these to your own Christmas list, too.
